Imeaching Bush on Friday

This message from Congressman Dennis Kucinich appeared recently on Youtube. Apparently George Bush is going to be impeached for war crimes and lying on Friday. Isn’t it a bit late? Bush is almost gone! What is the goal of impeaching now? We can’t accomplish much because the damage has already been done. We’ve essentially failed already no matter what the outcome of impeachment is. Let’s look forward instead of backward and just get over the past. We can’t change the past, only the future. It just seems to me that he wants revenge on Bush. Which I hope is not the case. I hope his intentions are to make clear what Bush  did and why it is wrong so that it doesn’t happen. It’ll be a sorry day when we go after presidents for their mistakes.

National Guard help needed in the city? Really? It doesn’t feel that bad when I’m down there. If I just were to join the police force, it would save us all this fuss and tax money.

To serve, or to run the server?

Chicago is now ranked second among the cities which tip the highest. Almost makes me want to abandon the IT world and start waiting tables…

Cook County Sales Tax increase

If you’re one of the many Cook County residents who chronically check the news, you’ve probably heard that we now have the highest sales tax in the entire country. Yes, over 10% tax. 10.25% in fact. If this were France, there would be riots, angry mobs, and protests. I wonder if we will see any of that in the coming months…

HAH! ya. right. The day Americans launch a substantial protest will be a cold day in hell – And the protest would likely be because they want the heat turned back on.

At least it is less than the 11% tax proposed back in 2007.
