When Alexander the Great visited Diogenes and asked whether he could do anything for the famed teacher, Diogenes replied, “Only stand out of my light.” Perhaps some day we shall know how to heighten creativity. Until then, one of the best things we can do for creative men and women is to stand out of their light.–John W. Gardner

Glove Problems
http://www.universetoday.com/2008/05/09/solution-to-nasas-glove-problem
NASA understandably has problems with their astronaut’s gloves. They have been developing holes; deteriorating. To solve this problem, NASA has decided to patch it. With super strong patches. While that’s a great and cheap solution, it is hardly adequate in my standards. In fact I wouldn’t feel any more secure on a spacewalk if I were wearing patched garments. Especially if said garments we’re my gloves. And what annoying gloves they are! The cumbersome clouts barely enable one to perform fine motor tasks. I mean look at the things! (sorry no picture) I’m sure you’ve seen them before.
Well my suggestion is abandoning the glove concept entirely (naturally).
With todays advanceements in robotics and AI, why doesn’t a group like NASA make a robotic had extension? We already have made progress in this area. And the mechanical hands we have created offer much more nimble-ness than the gloves at work. Also, there exists great advancements in the field of tactile feed back. Imagine that! It would be like your gloveless in outerspace!
Sources will come later. Maybe even amateur concept art.
