Endeavour Going into Space

This amazing video of the space shuttle going into space is courtesy NASA. It shows the boosters and separation from a perspective rarely seen. The inital part of the video is boring, but gets more interesting once it reaches height of separation.

Who would have thought NASA would be a youtube user? Well it only makes sense: why pay for and use additional space on their servers when they can take advantage of a free service! I love free.

Solar min is here?

Originally I thought solar minimum was here a year ago, but It seems that it’s here now. This would explain the more harsh winter we’ve experienced, as less sun spots usually means less solar output.

Since when is starving a dog art?

Recently I’ve noticed many people online getting upset about stories like the artist who starved dogs in the name of art and even things like US soldiers tossing puppies off cliffs, and while we’re murdering hundreds of thousands of human lives nonetheless! There are so many people are getting upset over this, I’ve seen a lot of discussion about it.

While each day hundreds, or perhaps thousands of livestock of all types of animals are being tortured and slaughtered for our consumption. If one cares so much about dogs, puppys, cats and the like then perhaps they should question if you really should be eating meat. It should be no surprise to anyone that we kill and torture animals for our food everyday. So why all the fuss about how mans best friends are treated similarly? One would argue these animals should be treated with more respect because we domesticate them and see their emotions. Yet how can one deny that cattle do not have emotions either? Do no animals have emotions? Are only dogs and humans the ones with emotions?
In conclusion this is nothing more than another junk new article. Who the hell cares? The internet is loaded with so much mindless, distracting content that I fear for every young child unfortunate enough to be raised by it. Similar to generations of the past being raised by television. At least there is the potential to learn with computers. With television there is no choice, you get fed what they want you to see and that’s it.

What is in your water?

It doesn’t greatly surprise me that scientists have found pharmaceuticals in our drinking water. This is yet another reason why I’ve stopped drinking tap water straight. I now usually boil it and drink it hot or make tea. Of course there are only so many drugs which can be destroyed via heat. This just further proves that the only reliable water cleansing technique is distillation. It’s pretty scary to think that random drug mixtures are piped into citizens homes on a mass scale. Of course homes with well water probably don’t face such a risk. However, unless they’re in the most remote of areas, I can bet there is a good amount of pesticide in the well water.
